rebecca May

Rebecca has called Brixton home for 18 years, coinciding with her career in the creative industry. In 2019, she set up her own design studio, Sadie May Studio – an independent, one-woman studio specialising in branding, illustration, art direction, print, environmental design and typography.

Her studio works with a diverse range of clients including the V&A, Friends of the Earth, National Theatre, Music Managers Forum and the Francis Crick Institute and has a strong belief in using visual communication for projects with a focus on positive social impact.

Before setting up independently, Rebecca headed up the studio at the Design Council and has worked for agencies including Fallon, IDEO, M&C Saatchi and Why Not Associates and for clients such as Tim Key, NHS and the Crafts Council. She has also lectured at LCC and volunteers as a Mentor for Kerning the Gap, a programme addressing equality in the design industry.
